Professor Hirsch earned his B.A. and J.D. from
the University of Illinois and his LLM from Harvard
Law School. A member of the Duquesne Law faculty
since 1972, he is also a member of the American
Law Institute and Order of the Coif.
Professor Hirsch has served as a certiorari consultant
to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and advisor
to a committee of the Illinois Supreme Court.
He is frequently quoted as a radio and television
commentator on matters of current legal importance.
He has authored numerous articles for law reviews
