Before joining the Duquesne Law faculty, Professor
Junker taught at The Open University in Britain,
and held the first cross-border academic position
in Ireland by being a full-time member of faculty
at both Queen’s University of Belfast in
Northern Ireland and Dublin City University in
Ireland. Prior to that, he taught part-time at
Geneva College, Duff’s Business Institute,
the Community College of Allegheny County.
He received his B.A. from Penn State University,
his J.D. from Duquesne, and his Ph.D. from the
University of Pittsburgh. He was also a Fellow
in German Law with the Universities of Tübingen
and Bonn and the Justice Ministry of North-Rhine
Westphalia in Germany. Upon completing law school,
he clerked for the Honorable James E. Rowley,
President Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania,
and litigated cases as Assistant Counsel to the
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources.
