Professor Krasik is currently interested in the
implications of a growing attack on public institutions,
such as the public schools, that is being pursued
under the rubric of privatization and promotion
of “free market” approaches to social
concerns.
Professor Krasik is also interested in the nature
of the “public/private” distinction
in the law and in the legal definitions of public
or state actors, in contexts such as the health
care industry and the workers’ compensation
system. Further, she would like to explore the
ways in which the discipline of critical human
geography can enrich the understanding of law
by opening a vista on the way law represents and
employs spatial concepts.
Finally, Professor Krasik is interested in the
continuing effort of the legal system to meet
the needs of an aging population that continues
to challenge our ability to assure economic and
physical security and adequate health care. |
