The Law School of the University of Cologne (Germany) and the Duquesne University School of Law (Pittsburgh, PA) have been partners since 2000. Additionally, both universities are connected through a partnership agreement for the entire university. With more than six thousand law students, Cologne has the largest law faculty in all of Germany. The partnership is designed to foster educational and professional exchanges between the universities and the local professional communities alike. The partnership has been very successful, as Duquesne and Cologne students and faculty have been in regular exchange with one another over the past seven years

In Cologne, Professor Dr. Heinz-Peter Mansel (Faculty Representative and University Representative) and Professor Dr. Stephan Hobe (Deputy Faculty Representative) cultivate the exchange. At Duquesne, Professor Dr. Kirk W. Junker is responsible for the relationship between the universities.
