Accommodations and Travel

Accommodations

Housing is available in all three locations through Duquesne University. In Cologne, we will stay at the new central location of Cologne Hostel (www.hostel.ag). Students will be housed in double rooms with private bathrooms, including breakfast and within walking distance of the city's main sights, shopping, dining and the classroom building.

In Luxembourg, students will stay at the Hotel Parc Plaza (http://www.parcplaza.lu/), and in Strasbourg, we will stay at the Ibis Strasbourg Centre Petite France (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-0943-ibis-strasbourg-centre-petite-f...).

These accommodations are both centrally located and students will be housed in double rooms with private bathrooms. Wireless access is provided.  Breakfast is included at the Ibis Strasbourg Hotel only.

Spouses and children are welcome. Persons accompanying participants who want to obtain housing through Duquesne or attend the scheduled functions must complete a separate Application Form and pay the Housing Charge, if housed through Duquesne.

Individuals requiring special accommodations should contact the program director so that we can make any necessary arrangements. The University of Cologne offers assistance for students who need special accommodations.

Travel

  • All students must have a valid passport.
  • Students are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from Germany.
  • Students not arranging housing through Duquesne will be responsible for making alternative arrangements.
  • Duquesne University will not be responsible for any personal injury, property damage or illness encountered by participating students during the program. All students are advised to purchase appropriate medical, accidental and travel insurance.
