Tax & Estate Planning

Please Note: This concentration is only an option for students enrolled prior to the Fall 2016 semester.

The Tax and Estate Planning Concentration is designed for students interested in federal taxation or in estate planning or elder law. The concentration prepares students interested in practicing in the area of federal taxation to pursue an LL.M. in taxation by introducing them to federal taxation of individuals, corporations and shareholders; partnerships; and to the federal estate and gift tax system. For students interested in estate planning or elder law, the concentration introduces them to wills, trusts, estate and gift taxation, and other subjects relevant to advising clients regarding wealth preservation and planning for the orderly transmission of wealth from one generation to the next.
