ACLLWire- The Allegheny County Law Library's e-mail notification service. ACLLWire provides interested parties with information regarding the Allegheny County Law Library, CLE opportunities, reviews of print & digital research resources, legal news, and special events. The newsletter is available to ACLL Members, practitioners, members of the public, or anyone interested in the resources available via Allegheny County Law Library. Access the Library Collection

The online catalog, QuickSearch, (formerly known as Encore) provides access to the print and electronic holdings of the Duquesne Center for Legal Information (DCLI), Allegheny County Law Library (ACLL), and Duquesne University Gumberg Library.  If you prefer, the Classic Catalog is still available.


Circulation Policy

Patrons have the privilege of borrowing materials from both Duquesne Law Library - the Duquesne Center for Legal Information - and the County Law Library for two weeks at a time with additional renewals. Patrons must purchase an annual borrower’s card.  See Borrowers' Privileges and Services.

Continuing Legal Education Courses

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses are available throughout the year for both substantive and ethics credits. Please check ACLLWire, the library website, or PA CLE Board for schedule. Discounts are available for cardholders.


Document Delivery Service

The library offers document delivery services including copying, faxing and emailing documents as well as interlibrary loan of books/periodicals. Discounts are available for cardholders.


Research Services

The knowledgeable reference staff, comprised of library and legal professionals, is available to assist the legal community during regular business hours. In-depth reference services available for an additional charge.



The library offers a variety of books, pamphlets, CDs, and online resources available for sale.


Computer Lab

The library has a computer lab with 20 computer terminals, projector and a printer for public access and the lab is available for presentations.


Conference Room

The library also has a conference room for use.
