Assoc. Dean Oliver discusses Cosby retrial with Wall Street Journal

Thursday, March 15, 2018

The Wall Street Journal interviewed Assoc. Dean Wes Oliver about a decision to allow five additional accusers to testify in actor Bill Cosby’s retrial. The ruling marks the first time in the #MeToo era that a celebrity will face multiple accusers in a courtroom.

“The climate is so much more accepting of victims' stories than it was even a year ago,” Oliver is quoted in the piece.

The entertainer is being retried next month on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in 2004. Prosecutors sought to have 19 women who have alleged that Cosby assaulted them to testify to establish a pattern of “bad acts” at the retrial.
