Prof. Huhn organizes constitutional law discussion forum

Friday, February 9, 2018

Visiting Professor Wilson Huhn has organized a series of gatherings again this semester to provide law students with opportunities to express their opinions, listen to their colleagues, and debate critically important constitutional issues facing Americans today.

This semester, discussion dates are:

  • February 21
  • March 21

The gatherings are held Noon to 12:45 p.m. and again 5 to 5:45 p.m. All will be in Room 204.

The Feb. 21 programs focus on various forms of discrimination, specifically the constitutional issues that arise on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, disability, and sexual orientation.

The March 21 programs focus on conflicts between the powers of Congress and the powers of the president, including war powers, foreign policy and economic sanctions, and impeachment.

The student-run Older and Wiser Law Students Association sponsors the forum. No speakers are invited; the forums are opportunities for law students to express their opinions and share their perspectives. Huhn moderates the discussions.

Drop-ins are welcome.
